Charlie Kirk & DEI

So this is an example of taking things out of context. This is 2 intelligent men having an open conversation/debate. They are being respectful and actually listening to each other - even if they don’t agree 100% of the time. I’ve heard people say that Charlie Kirk was a racist and has made racial slurs. One example/proof in particular was his statement regarding black pilots.
Taken out of context, you’d perhaps hear that he’s being a racist. “Well, he’s saying black people can't be pilots!” If you actually listen to the full conversation and his view of DEI, though, he’s saying that he doesn’t want someone to be a pilot based on their color or gender. He would like the most qualified person to have the role, regardless of those factors. That’s it.
I’m not saying which person I agree with or about what specific statements, but I will say I am an adult capable of listening to both sides of a conversation and can make my own decisions. If your intent on commenting on something I post is to try to correct me or force me to retract something I’ve said because you believe you know better than me, there are ways to have a respectful conversation privately. If you’re coming onto my page and publicly just being loud, I know you’re not interested in a conversation and I am therefore not interested in speaking to you about the matter. Please direct your energy elsewhere.
If you think I’m not capable of doing my own research or to utilize my own discernment on a matter, especially regarding racism as a mother of caucasian, asian, biracial, and black children - or whether someone was actually a Christian or not - you don’t know me at all and I’d appreciate it if you kept your opinions off my page. If you’re capable of being curious instead of just trying to force your views on someone else, chat away.
